"body": "This is our family's collection of hard-won lessons, stories, and words of wisdom. The idea is simple: whenever one of us learns something worth keeping, we write it down here so it stays in the family for a long time.\n\n# How to add an entry\n1. Click the **＋ Share Wisdom** button at the top.\n2. Give it a **title** — the lesson in a few words (e.g. \"Never go to bed on an argument\").\n3. **Write the story** — as long or short as you want.\n4. Tag one or more **topics** and pick a **type** so it's easy to find later.\n5. Add **photos** if you'd like, then hit **Save**.\n\nYour name and the date are filled in automatically from your Google account.\n\n# A simple format to follow\nThere's no wrong way to write, but if you want a starting point:\n> **What I learned:** the lesson in a sentence.\n> **The story behind it:** what happened that taught you this.\n> **Why it matters:** what you hope we take from it.\n\n---\nThat's it. Write from the heart. Years from now, this is what we'll be glad we kept.",

"body": "> **What I learned:** Slow down before you act — a few extra seconds of thought saves hours of fixing.\n> **The story behind it:** I first heard \"measure twice, cut once\" doing a project, and I ruined a board because I rushed the mark. But the deeper lesson showed up everywhere after that — in words I said too fast, decisions I made without sleeping on them, emails I sent before rereading.\n> **Why it matters:** Most mistakes I regret came from moving quickly when I didn't need to. The pause is almost always free. Take it.",

"body": "We were never meant to do life isolated. The thing I want for anyone I lead — and honestly for myself — is to go from **isolated to integrated**: actually known by real people.\n\n*\"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed\"* (James 5:16). The early church did life together — meeting, eating, praying, sharing everything (Acts 2:42–47). That kind of closeness doesn't happen by accident. You have to build it.\n\nA few things that actually work for me:\n- **Get coffee with a godly friend on purpose** — not just when it's convenient.\n- **Rose / Thorn / Buffalo** — share a high, a low, and something you're looking forward to. Gets you past small talk fast.\n- **Check in across the whole person**, not just one slice — Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Relational (**SPER**).\n\nDepth is built, not found. Go first.",

"body": "For a long time I thought serving people well just meant giving more — more time, more energy, more yes. But you can't pour from an empty cup.\n\nJesus said it plainly: *\"Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine\"* (John 15:4).\n\nThe lesson I keep relearning: **abide first, then serve.** When I lead or love out of an empty tank, it comes out anxious and hollow. When I stay connected to God first — actually full — the giving takes care of itself.\n\nIt also shaped who I look for and who I try to become. I use the word **FAITH** for it:\n- **F**aithful — shows up, keeps their word\n- **A**vailable — makes room for people\n- **I**nfluential — points others toward Jesus, not themselves\n- **T**eachable — stays humble enough to grow\n- **H**ungry — actually wants more of God\n\nThose are the people worth following, and the person worth being.",
